New hours and a note from the owner

From Diane Hargett-Austin, Owner of The Wistful Cafe and Bakery

To my beloved family and friends and my valued customers, I wanted to make you aware of some changes at The Wistful Cafe, and why I am making them. The time involved with helping provide the proper care for my elderly father, Dick Hargett, is extensive. In order to best provide for that, as well as to maintain the quality and integrity of both food and service you’ve come to expect from The Wistful Cafe, I have decided to focus our business on what it does best, baking, breakfast, and lunch. Starting Friday, June 30th, 2017, our business hours will change to 6:30am to 2:30pm, 7 days a week. We will serve breakfast and lunch and continue to have our all you can eat salad bar. We will no longer offer pizza or our Friday fish fry. We WILL continue to offer our freshly made, delicious desserts and baked goods for dine in or carry our as well as continuing to take orders for custom cakes and pastries. We thank you for your support of our evening hours.

My family must come first right now and I feel this is what is best for the Cafe, and most importantly, my family. Thank you for your friendship, patronage, and understanding. I look forward to being able to continue to earn all three.
